It has been a couple of months since Abxylute first revealed its M4 Snap-On Controller. However, it still isn't available to purchase yet. Last month, it was revealed that the device will soon launch on Kickstarter, but the specific date was not disclosed. Now, it has announced a date for when the campaign will go live on Kickstarter.
Posting via its social media accounts, Abxylute has revealed that the Kickstarter page for the M4 Snap-On Controller will go live on November 13 at 8 AM PST. However, it is still keeping some key details under wraps, such as the final retail price for the M4 Snap-On and the shipping date for the controller. For those who wish to purchase the controller during the campaign, Abxylute says they will have to shell out $39.
In addition to revealing the launch date for the controller, Abxylute also released a promotional video for the M4 Snap-On Controller. The three and a half-minute long video reveals how the idea for the M4 controller was conceived and the several iterations before settling on the final design.
However, an interesting detail mentioned in the video is that the M4 Snap-On is the first of a new family of controllers from Abxylute, with future products having their own shape, style, and purpose.
Abxylute's product lineup includes handhelds, mobile controllers, and gamepads such as the Abxylute One Pro (available on Amazon for $259.99), the Abxylute S9 Type-C Mobile Gaming Controller, and the Abxylute C8 Wireless Gaming Controller, among others.
The Abxylute M4 is designed for smartphones and allows users to enjoy mobile games without having to carry around a bulky controller. It weighs 55 grams and can be detached from a phone to be used like a regular wireless controller, too.
