Flydigi, the Chinese brand known for its gaming accessories, including the Flydigi Direwolf 3 controller, has announced a new controller in China. The controller is called the Vader 5 Pro, and like the Vader 4 Pro, it is expected to get a global release.
The Flydigi Vader 5 Pro largely resembles its predecessor, the Vader 4 Pro, which was released last year. Like the Vader 4 Pro (currently available on Amazon for $55.34), it features C and Z buttons in addition to the ABXY buttons. It also has asymmetrical force-adjustable lever thumbsticks.
However, Flydigi has now improved the force-switchable vibration triggers. According to the manufacturer, the Vader 5 Pro now uses a new lever-transmission spring system for the trigger. Another new feature is the addition of LM and RM shoulder buttons, while the M3 and M4 back paddles are detachable like those of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller.
The D-Pad has also been improved, and the controller now has a slip-resistant rubber grip. Flydigi also claims that latency has been reduced to 4ms in wireless mode, and the product images show that it has a new charging dock.
The Flydigi Vader 5 Pro is available to purchase in China for CNY 429 (~$60/€52). It is available in black with gold accents and has a light strip at the bottom.
