The Abxylute M4 Snap-On mobile controller is now available for purchase on Kickstarter for $39. The magnetic controller, which attaches to the back of smartphones, is available in three colors. Still, Abxylute has revealed that it will release two additional colors if the crowdfunding campaign meets certain requirements.
The M4 Snap-On mobile controller was initially revealed to launch in Retro White and Phantom Black, but shortly before its Kickstarter launch, Abxylute revealed a third color called Cosmic Orange. Now, Abxylute plans to add two additional colors — NGC Indigo and Atomic purple.
The NGC Indigo color option, which pays homage to the Nintendo GameCube, is a popular choice among manufacturers. The 8BitDo Pro 3 (available on Amazon for $69.99) comes in a similar color. On the other hand, the Atomic Purple, which has a translucent shell, is said to be “born from the Game Boy Golden Age”.
Abxylute has attached conditions to the availability of these new colors. The NGC Indigo variant will be released if the pledged amount reaches $100,000, while the Atomic Purple variant will be available if the pledged amount reaches $200,000.
As of the time of writing, the Abxylute M4 Snap-On has reached $77,072, surpassing its crowdfunding goal of $1,287 by a huge margin. The $100,000 milestone is expected to be crossed in a few days, and there's a possibility that the $200,000 milestone may be achieved before the campaign concludes on December 23, 2025.
