Valve recently announced a few new products, one of which is a second-generation Steam Controller, arriving 10 years after the original. The new Steam Controller, like the original, has dual touchpads. Now, GameSir has hinted at the launch of its own controller with a touchpad.
According to a post on X, GameSir seems to be planning to release a new touchpad controller in 2026. However, this won't be its first. In 2018, the Chinese manufacturer released the GameSir G5, a mobile controller with a large circular trackpad on the right and a built-in clamp for smartphones. The controller was designed for FPS and Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games such as Dota 2, League of Legends, and Valorant.
While GameSir hasn't revealed any details about its upcoming touchpad controller, we can expect it to feature similar specs as its current controllers, such as Hall-Effect or TMR thumbsticks, Hall-Effect triggers, support for 2.4GHz connection, and compatibility with multiple platforms.
In addition, unlike the GameSir G5, we do not expect GameSir to resort to crowdfunding for the new touchpad controller. GameSir has come a long way since 2018 and has not had to crowdfund for any of its products in a while.
