It looks like 8BitDo has at least one new wireless controller in the pipeline before Christmas rolls around. For context, the company celebrated the NES' 40th anniversary last month with various limited edition devices, including a themed Ultimate 2 Bluetooth controller. Now X account Wario64 has provided a first look at what is simply referred to as the '8BitDo Controller' on Amazon.
Nonetheless, a few details can be gleaned even at this point. For instance, Amazon indicates that this new controller is wireless with support provided for Android and PC. Typically, 8BitDo using this description suggests that the controller supports 2.4 GHz connectivity for PC and Bluetooth for Android devices. Moreover, the controller will come in a black finish, which has yet to reach comparable 8BitDo controllers like the Ultimate 2C Wireless.
Incidentally, 8BitDo's new controller is set to match the company's Ultimate 2C releases with a $29.99 launch price. There is no guarantee that this mysterious controller is an Ultimate 2C refresh at this stage, though. 8BitDo will release the unnamed controller on December 8, 2025. Thus, we would expect 8BitDo to begin teasing the controller's launch in late November or early December at the latest.
