Bamboozled fans received a deceptive Google alert for a new GTA 6 trailer. As it turns out, the Grand Theft Auto VI - Final Trailer was a fan-made production. Following the most recent release date delay, gamers continue to monitor social media for any official GTA 6 news.

After the latest GTA 6 release date delay, some gamers anticipated a new trailer as consolation. That was the case soon after Rockstar Games confirmed the first postponement in May 2025. While the GTA 6 trailer 3 may still appear, a misleading Google notification has made the wait more painful.

Game Rant reported that the search engine led many unsuspecting viewers to the Grand Theft Auto VI - Final Trailer at Teaser Universe. The YouTube channel posts unofficial and fan-made trailers for popular movies, TV shows, and games. Using a combination of AI tools and released footage, some of the creations appear reasonably authentic.

The video concocts a storyline about how Lucia’s father is connected to her criminal exploits in Vice City. Even if plausible, gamers quickly realized it wasn’t endorsed by Rockstar. Still, it has accumulated over 330,000 views, surpassing the top marks of other Teaser Universe productions.

Most of the top YouTube comments are light-hearted, poking fun at Google for the deceptive alert. After subscribing to channels, the search engine learns what other content users might enjoy. However, the personalized recommendations failed to differentiate between official and unofficial GTA 6 news.

When might the third GTA 6 trailer surface?

The latest unfortunate incident was not the first false alarm for the GTA 6 trailer 3. Recently, followers noticed that the video count on the Rockstar YouTube channel increased. Some companies upload private posts in advance of announcements, before making them public. Even so, as it stands, the last video added to the channel is now two months old.

Speculation persists about when the developers will drop the third, and potentially, last trailer. On the game’s subreddit, Impossible_Entrance9 is not optimistic about it arriving anytime soon. The poster notes that after the last GTA 6 release date delay, the studio teased another update. This time, the shorter social media message ends without any hints.
