Rockstar Games has finally given fans another look at the world of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), almost 18 months on from the release of the game's first trailer. Unfortunately, we are further away from being able to play GTA 6 than Rockstar suggested when it published trailer 1.
Nonetheless, fans now have nearly 3 minutes of footage to pour over between now and May 6, 2026. Evidently, Rockstar has hidden a few easter eggs in the video below, too. For example, there is a nod to Jason Duval, one the game's key protagonists, 'fixing some leaks' at 12 seconds in, to which another character called Brian Heder responds by claiming that he has 'got some time on your hands'.
While the video does not provide too many specifics, it emphasises that the game will only be coming to Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 (curr. $499 on Amazon) consoles initially. As a result, it looks as though PC gamers will have even longer to wait before GTA 6 moves beyond a console release.
Rockstar has shared various details about several characters too through a dedicated microsite. Based on the information contained within, it seems that GTA 6 will span more than just Vice City. Specifically, it looks like Rockstar will take gamers across the state of Leonida, with new locations like Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga mentioned. Currently, Rockstar describes the plot of GTA 6 as follows:
Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.
