GTA 6 has been subject to a lot of leaks and rumors, some hinting at the features and gameplay while others speculating deeper connections to other Rockstar franchises. Recently, a bunch of details about the gameplay were reportedly leaked and the same leaker has now shared that Rockstar is struggling with the final chapter of the game. GTA 6 is slated for a May 26, 2026 release after being delayed from its original fall 2025 date.
A screenshot showing leaks shared by GameRoll has surfaced online (thanks Dexerto). While there is a lot more information in there, what stands out most is that the final chapter is being reworked since a lot of content was cut from Chapter 4 and Chapter 5. GameRoll previously shared that GTA 6 will have five chapters. The leaker called it “development hell” according to a screenshot from Discord. This likely means that the ending for the game is being reworked, which could be why Rockstar decided to postpone the launch.
The leaks also claim that what we’ve seen in the trailers so far has been content from Chapter 1 to Chapter 3, suggesting the second half of the game is very much under wraps. The developers are still working out the weapon wheel and have reportedly changed it for a third time. GTA 6 will likely also have Red Dead Redemption 2 style dismemberment and gore.
Furthermore, there are some story related leaks as well, which, if they turn out to be true, would be spoilers for the game so keep that in mind. GameRoll has shared even more details on X and stated that the information comes from the same source who revealed Lucia and Jason’s last names before the official reveal.
Past leaks from GameRoll have suggested a massive open world with hundreds of malls and over 700 stores that can be visited. The leaker also claimed that the dynamic cover system that was previously rumored has been removed and a more GTA V style button-press cover system has been added.
