While waiting for GTA VI, this mod makes GTA IV more beautiful than ever

The wait for GTA VI is long, and many people have decided to give a second life to one of the franchise's best-loved titles, none other than GTA IV. And if we go into the details, it's with the iCEnhancer 4.0 mod that you'll be able to rediscover Liberty City from a different angle.

As its name suggests, this mod enhances the graphics and lighting effects in GTA IV, giving an incredible rendering for a game released in 2008. In this version, the physical lighting has been completely reworked, the fog is much more natural than in the original game, and the water looks like it's been lifted straight out of recent games. However, this mod doesn't take away from Liberty City's grey, urban ambience, but does bring some major visual improvements.

Of course, iCEnhancer isn't a newcomer to mods, but version 4.0 is definitely new. It's been years in the making, so modders and developers are hard at work, as this video from icelaglace shows.

But there's one detail you need to bear in mind. This mod only works with GTA IV versions 1.0.3.0 and 1.0.4.0, because these are the only versions that support ENB-like effects.

So this mod looks like a godsend if you want to rediscover Liberty City with more realistic graphics. And it also makes you think that Rockstar still hasn't given any news about a remaster of this game. And this, despite rumors confirming it for the end of 2025, which would allow us to wait until the release of GTA VI.
