Fans had been waiting over a year for it – the second GTA 6 trailer. On May 6, 2025, it finally dropped, earning global praise and racking up over 100 million views. For animator FG_Artist, also known as LegoMe_TheOG, it was the perfect inspiration for an ambitious fan project.
FG_Artist recreated the entire trailer shot for shot using real LEGO bricks. The backgrounds are a mix of procedurally generated elements and traditional builds, all crafted with a keen eye for detail. The finished trailer, available on both X and YouTube, mirrors the original almost perfectly in timing and structure.
According to the artist, the LEGO trailer took about a month to complete. As he shared in a post on X, it wasn’t the building or positioning of the LEGO bricks that consumed most of the time, but rather the 4K rendering process.
Insider Gaming has already covered the project, drawing comparisons to earlier fan adaptations like YouTuber Max Justh’s AI-generated, surreal LEGO version of the trailer – visually striking but less grounded. In contrast, FG_Artist work is entirely hand-animated, using physical models, real bricks and remarkable precision, giving it a much more authentic feel.
By the way: At just 16 years old, FG_Artist is already an accomplished animator, having recreated several trailers in LEGO form. His previous projects include a detailed remake of the second Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer, showcasing both his talent and passion for animation.
