Techland has officially confirmed that Dying Light: The Beast, the next major instalment in the Dying Light franchise, will release on August 22, 2025. But the best part is that it will be free for some players.
To be more specific, players who own the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2: Stay Human will receive Dying Light: The Beast at no additional cost. As per the details on Dying Light’s official website, on the day of the release, the game will be automatically added to eligible players’ libraries.
Along with the base game, players will also receive the Hero of Harran Bundle pre-order content without any extra steps required. The bundle includes a set of exclusive in-game weapons, a patrol vehicle, and a special outfit for Kyle Crane.
As mentioned, this offer applies only to players who already own the Ultimate Edition - a version that has since been delisted from stores. Players who didn’t purchase the Ultimate Edition before it was pulled will need to buy The Beast separately for $59.99. It should also be noted that the Hero of Harran Bundle will not be available for separate purchase after release. To secure this bundle, players will have to pre-order the upcoming game or own the Ultimate Edition to secure it.
Dying Light: The Beast is set to release in August
As mentioned earlier, Dying Light: The Beast is scheduled to release on August 22, 2025, which is a few weeks away. The game will be available on PC, PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S, with support for PS4 and Xbox One potentially rolling out towards the end of 2025. Further, due to some technical issues, players will be able to upgrade to the deluxe edition after the release.
In addition to this, Techland also confirmed that Dying Light 2: Stay Human will continue to receive content through 2025. This includes a Summer Event, a Halloween Event, a Winter Tales Event, and a Fall update.
