Earlier this year, Backbone announced an Xbox edition of the Backbone One. Now, it is the turn of the premium Backbone Pro controller that was released in May. The limited edition controller comes just a few weeks after it announced the Backbone One Death Stranding 2 Limited Edition.
The Backbone Pro Xbox Edition has a translucent green color finish that pays homage to the original Xbox console. This design is also identical to the Backbone One Xbox Edition. However, since this is an Xbox controller, Backbone has added some buttons found on the Xbox Wireless Controller.

Unlike the standard version of the controller, which features a capture button and an ellipsis button on the left, the Backbone Pro Xbox Edition replaces them with an Xbox button and a View button. However, the rest of the specs and features are the same as those of the standard edition.
Owners will be able to use the controller in handheld mode with their smartphone or use the Backbone Pro as a wireless controller by connecting it to a phone, tablet, TV, or a VR headset such as the Meta Quest 3s. It can also be used as a wired controller by connecting a USB-C cable to the Type-C port at the bottom of the controller and connecting the other end to your device.
The Backbone Pro Xbox Edition includes a complimentary one-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (worth $30), allowing users to enjoy Xbox's cloud gaming service. There's also the option to stream games from your own console using Xbox Remote Play.
The Backbone Pro Xbox Edition is priced at $179.99, $10 more than the standard version. It is available for purchase today directly from Backbone or from Amazon and Best Buy. This is an improvement over the Backbone Pro Cozy Gaming Edition that is exclusive to Target.
