HP has announced the OmniBook X Flip 14 and OmniBook X Flip 16, two new 2-in-1 laptops built around Intel and AMD next-gen AI processors, featuring flexible 360-degree designs and updated connectivity.

HP has unveiled the OmniBook X Flip 14 and OmniBook X Flip 16 at CES 2026, expanding its OmniBook lineup with two new 2-in-1 laptops featuring 360-degree hinge designs and support for next-generation AI PC platforms.

Both models feature a 360-degree hinge with support for laptop, tablet, tent, and reverse modes, and are offered with either Intel or AMD next-gen AI processors, depending on configuration.

HP OmniBook X Flip 14: compact 2-in-1 with OLED display options

The OmniBook X Flip 14 comes with a 14-inch 16:10 touchscreen, available in up to a 3K (2880 × 1800) OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate or lower-resolution OLED and IPS options. HP lists brightness levels of up to 500 nits in SDR and up to 1,100 nits in HDR on select OLED configurations, alongside 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

Processor options for the OmniBook X Flip 14 include Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen AI processors (the press release does not go into detail) paired with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 2 TB of PCIe NVMe storage. Connectivity includes dual USB-C ports, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and optional Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 6.0. A 5 MP IR webcam with HDR switching and Poly Studio-tuned speakers are listed as standard features across configurations.

The Intel-based model weighs around 3.11 lb, while AMD configurations are listed slightly heavier. Battery capacities range from 59 Wh to 70 Wh, with fast charging support advertised at up to 50% in 45 minutes.

HP OmniBook X Flip 16: larger display and higher-capacity battery options

The OmniBook X Flip 16 scales the same concept to a 16-inch form factor, offering up to a 3K OLED touchscreen with a variable refresh rate and up to 120 Hz. HP claims a 91% screen-to-body ratio and support for HDR, low blue light certifications, and variable refresh rate on select panels.

Like the 14-inch model, the OmniBook X Flip 16 is configurable with Intel Core Ultra processors or AMD Ryzen AI processors, paired with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 5 or Gen 4 storage depending on platform. Port selection includes Thunderbolt 4 on Intel configurations, along with USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 are also listed.

Battery capacities go up to 76 Wh on select configurations, up from the 68 Wh pack used in last year’s model, while fast-charging claims remain similar. The OmniBook X Flip 16 weighs just over 4.2 lb and is offered in multiple color finishes depending on processor platform.

Pricing and availability

We’ve previously reported earlier that HP may refresh parts of the OmniBook X Flip lineup with newer Intel platforms in 2026 based on early retailer listings. At the time of writing, HP has not disclosed detailed pricing or regional availability for the OmniBook X Flip 14 and OmniBook X Flip 16, noting that configurations will vary by market, processor choice, display type, and memory and storage options.
