Home Assistant has recently issued a series of minor updates for its iOS app. These follow the larger update to version 2025.11.0, which brought a new onboarding process and improvements for CarPlay and the Apple Watch app.
Home Assistant iOS app versions 2025.11.1 and 2025.11.2 were released at the end of November. These brought a change linked to the Gauge and Details widgets; the “On tap” action can now be used to execute scripts. The smart home software company has also tackled issues linked to the recently added connection security level screen and URL settings.
Then, in Home Assistant iOS app versions 2025.12.0 and 2025.12.1, there are two more bug fixes. The first brought back the missing “Add” button for Apple Watch Complications. The second resolves a problem where the app would freeze when users running iOS 18 or below attempted to adjust their URL settings.
You can download the Home Assistant iOS app version 2025.12.1 from the Apple App Store. Users of the open source software are also expecting the wider Home Assistant 2025.12 release, which is expected to arrive in the next few days.
