Deal | 2026 Samsung S90H OLED TV brings glare-free gaming at record-low Amazon sale price

Samsung made several changes with the successor to the mid-range S90F OLED TV. The 2026 S90H introduces a matte screen, which reviews confirm handles the harshest glare. Its gaming capabilities have also experienced upgrades, headlined by a higher maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz.
While it’s rare to see enticing deals on newer models, this Samsung TV is an exception. The $1498 Amazon sale price for the 55-inch version is $500 off its April launch MSRP, the largest discount yet.
Goodbye QD-OLED
Another key difference from its predecessor is that the S90H OLED TV transitioned to a WOLED panel. That prompted groans from QD-OLED loyalists, though it hasn’t significantly affected picture quality. The Rtings test showed that even without Dolby Vision, HDR+ mode displays the full color range in vivid content.

The 55-inch 4K Samsung TV is sufficiently bright to survive in living rooms illuminated by large windows. Blacks remain black even when ambient light shines on its matte screen. When glare is unavoidable in setups, the S90H has an advantage over glossy competitors like the LG C6.
S90H gaming perks
Gamers will discover some marginal but still notable improvements. PS5 and Xbox Series X console owners won’t benefit from the elevated 165 Hz refresh rate. However, it appeals to PC users along with G-Sync compatibility to combat stuttering during fast-paced gameplay.
The display featured in the Amazon deal boasts a more intelligent AI processor. Lower-resolution movies and shows become optimized for 4K, resulting in sharper images. The latest TizenOS ships with a wide range of smart apps that stream older selections ideal for this upscaling.
The alternative to the flagship S95H offers other unexpected bonuses, such as above-average built-in speakers. Sadly, in addition to missing Dolby Vision, DTS audio is also not supported. For Blu-Rays that use the audio format, buyers should consider a more capable HDMI soundbar or AV receiver.
If reflections in bright rooms aren’t a major consideration, the 2025 55-inch S90F is available at a lower price. Still, the newer OLED TV on sale at Amazon for $1498 is a well-rounded option.
