At CES 2026, Acer has unveiled its latest smart home accessory, the Vero HL1820 projector. The company’s new RGB laser projector is designed for home cinema and gaming. The HL1820 is a 4K UHD (native 3840 x 2160p) RGB laser projector with HDR support. Its light source can deliver up to 5,500 RGB laser lumens of brightness (2,000 ANSI lumens standard, 1,600 ANSI lumens Eco).
Acer has incorporated its advanced RGB laser technology into the projector, which further utilizes independent red, green, and blue diodes for pure, precise light and accurate colors. It covers 106% of the BT.2020 color space, and according to Acer, this helps to offer an ultra-wide color gamut with lifelike accuracy in every frame. Speaking of output, the laser projector offers a 1.4-2.24 throw ratio and 1.6x zoom.
The laser light source is said to offer up to 30,000 hours of maintenance-free operation with 50% less energy consumption than conventional lamp projectors. Furthermore, the projector supports 4-corner and horizontal/vertical keystone correction and 360-degree projection, which allows you to project the picture anywhere in the room. The Acer product offers a decent port selection, including two HDMI 2.0 (HDCP 2.0), a 3.5 mm audio jack, a 5 V/1.5 A USB Type-A, and a 5 V/0.5 A USB Type-C.
Other features include a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,500,000:1 and integrated 15 W speakers. The fan is set to be rather quiet, with eco noise levels of 29 dBA. Dimension-wise, it measures 286 x 216 x 115.5 mm (28.6 x 21.6 x 11.5 cm) and weighs around 2.9 kg (6.39 lbs).
As for price, the Acer Vero HL1820 4K RGB laser projector is priced at €1,499. It will be available for purchase from March 2026 via Acer’s official website.
