Shelly has released the Ecowitt WS90 7-in-1 weather station in the US. Launched in Europe in 2025, this product allows you to track various types of weather, information which you could use to make your home more efficient.
The Shelly Ecowitt WS90 can track seven weather related metrics, such as temperature, humidity, UV, solar radiation, and pressure, with ultrasonic wind monitoring and haptic rain detection. The temperature and humidity sensors are marketed as highly precise, covering ranges of -40 to 60ºC (~-40 to 140ºF) and 0 to 99% RH, respectively. Pressure trends could help users to understand whether the weather is improving or worsening.
Shelly’s WS90 offers both Bluetooth and Zigbee connectivity for a wider range of smart home integrations, and can share data to multiple gateways simultaneously. It is worth noting that to view weather insights in the Shelly Smart Control app, users will need a compatible gateway, like the Shelly BLU Gateway (curr. $17.99 at Amazon). Plus, device offset settings ensure that measurements are not skewed by the surroundings. This is a solar powered weather station, with AA batteries as a backup. On top of this, the IPX5-rated device is said to have a “low maintenance design”.
At the Shelly online store in the US, you can now buy the Ecowitt WS90 7-in-1 weather station for $199.99. It is worth noting that there are only 300 units of the product available in this release, with no indication as to when more stock could arrive. This is one of six products to recently arrive in this market, with limited stock of The Pill and the BLU H&T Display ZB now available.
