We already had some hands-on time with the Asus ROG Raikiri II at gamescom 2025 last summer. The controller has finally become available in many regions and at various retailers, such as Amazon. This controller is officially priced at $189 and is compatible with PC, Xbox and the Asus ROG Xbox Ally, which benefits from two additional buttons. Overall, the controller features numerous buttons and has four additional and customizable buttons on the rear.
Asus does not exclusively rely on membrane buttons but also utilizes microswitches, which are intended to provide particularly precise inputs and clearly defined feedback. These microswitches are also found in the gamepad's triggers. Their actuation travel can be shortened, which can be useful in shooters and other action-rich games. Said triggers further support an almost analog input detection thanks to the TMR technology. The two analog sticks utilize TMR as well, which should make them accurate and prevent stick drift.
In addition, a carrying case is included in the box and allows the controller to be charged in the case using the included charging station. Moreover, two alternative joystick caps are included. Asus mentions a polling rate of up to 1,000Hz on PC and 250Hz on Xbox. Connectivity options include USB, 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth. Lastly, the Asus ROG Raikiri II gaming controller is supposed to last up to 50 hours on a full charge, at least as long as RGB, vibrations and other optional features are turned off.
