Apollo Turfstorm multifunctional yard robot now crowdfunding at special price

The Apollo Turfstorm all-wheel drive yard robot is now crowdfunding at Kickstarter. The campaign for this multifunctional smart home product has already got close to 50 backers, receiving over $150,000 in pledges and surpassing its $50,000 goal.

The Apollo’s all-wheel drive system is said to make it suitable for use year-round. It offers a range of features, such as mowing, with a 3.15 inch (800 mm) cutting width, and the mowing height is adjustable between 0.4 and 4.3 inches (10 and 110 mm). Another function is snow blowing, clearing areas up to 20 inches (~51 cm) deep, and throwing the snow as far as 65 ft (~20 m). In the fall, the robot can be used to collect leaves in a container attachment, depositing them in the place of your choosing.

According to the campaign page, it can manage an area measuring up to 10,000 m² (~107,600 ft²), and can tackle slopes up to 45° (100%). The robot uses a combination of RTK, integrated HD cameras and radar sensors to navigate your lawn while avoiding obstacles, with Apollo Turfstorm suggesting it is accurate to within 0.4 inches (1 cm). It is powered by a swappable 2,880 Wh battery, with each unit offering a six-hour run time. Plus, the robot is rated as IP56 dust and water resistant, and it can operate in temperatures ranging from -13 to 113°F (-25 to 45°C).

At Kickstarter, you can currently make a super early bird pledge of $2,499 for the Apollo Mowing Set, which the company suggests is a 50% discount on the RRP. The Apollo Snow Blowing Set costs backers $2,899, while the Apollo 2-in-1 Mowing & Leaf Collector is priced at $3,099, with both offering around 50% savings. The top-of-the-range Apollo 3-in-1 Combo has a $3,599 pledge level, 53% off the RRP. The company is shipping anywhere in the world, with an estimated delivery date of April 2026. However, as is the case with any crowdfunding campaign, this date could change, and there is no guarantee that backers will ever receive this product.
