New software for the Philips Hue Bridge v2 and the Philips Hue Bridge Pro is currently rolling out. The standard model was last updated in early October, while a LAN IP-Address related issue was resolved in an update a couple of weeks ago for the Hue Bridge Pro (curr. $98.99 at Amazon).
For the Philips Hue Bridge v2 comes software version 1974063020, while the Bridge Pro is receiving software version 2071127010. Despite the different version numbers, these two updates are identical. They tackle a problem with pairing devices over Matter, which was said to be caused by other connected third-party devices. Plus, the company indicates that it has made other minor tweaks to improve the Hue Bridge v2 and the Hue Bridge Pro, without providing further details.
The Philips Hue software version 1974063020 and 2071127010 updates are expected to reach all users of the Hue Bridge v2 and Hue Bridge Pro in the coming days. The releases should be pushed automatically to these smart home devices. You can check that you have automatic updates switched on in the Philips Hue app by going to Settings > Software update > Automatic update.
