Casio G-Shock solar-powered step-tracking watches now available in the UK

Casio has released the G-Shock GA-B010 digital watches in the UK. This new solar-powered step tracking model was rumoured earlier this year and is already available in Japan.

Now, at the Casio online store in the UK, the GA-B010-1A (black, positive display), the GA-B010-1A1 (black, negative display), and the GA-B010-3A (khaki, positive display) are available for £139 each. Customers are offered free shipping in two to four working days, though they can also choose to pay for express delivery.

The G-Shock GA-B010 is a hybrid model, with two analog hands said to stay accurate to within 15 seconds each month. The dial also features a pair of digital displays. The first is a step-tracker showing progress towards your goal between the one and two o’clock indexes. The second larger screen, at the bottom of the face, can show the time in a digital format, as well as the month, date and day of the week. 

Other features of the GA-B010 include support for world time, a stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. Plus, a white LED backlight makes it easier to use the watch when it gets dark. On top of this, Tough Solar charging extends the watch’s battery life. Whether or when these G-Shock GA-B010 watches could be released in other countries like the US or Germany remains to be seen.
