Fresh leaks now suggest that Casio’s rainbow ion-plated GMW-BZ5000 could be priced around £800 (~$1,069), placing it well above standard full-metal squares. Limited availability and an early-to-mid 2026 release window are also being hinted at.

More fresh chatter around Casio’s rainbow ion-plated full-metal square (which leaked recently) is starting to narrow down what could be the most debated part of the release: pricing. A recent update tied to the GMW-BZ5000, now being referenced as GMW-BZ5000RC-1, hints the watch could land around the £800 (~$1,069) mark, possibly just under that figure depending on region. Also, the watch could see an early-to-mid 2026 release window, as per the new leak from @geesgshock.

That estimate adds a key layer to earlier reports, which first pointed to a rainbow ion-plated variant of the GMW-BZ5000 series without giving clarity on where it would sit price-wise. Until now, expectations were more varied, especially given the finish and the likelihood of limited production.

If the £800 figure holds, it would place the model clearly above standard stainless steel and black IP full-metal squares. However, it could fall short of the pricing territory occupied by Casio’s more experimental or boutique G-Shock releases. For context, most regular full-metal squares sit way lower (around $500). The ion-plated treatment would be the primary justification for this jump.

The same update also reiterates that availability is expected to be relatively tight - this would mean fewer units will be allocated per region. While the watch is not being described as a numbered limited edition, the fact that supply is restricted and the price point is high likely means that Casio could launch it as a special-run model rather than a long-term addition.

As always, none of this has been confirmed by Casio. Still, the appearance of a fairly specific price range, alongside the talk of an early-to-mid 2026 release, means we can get more concrete info regarding the GMW-BZ5000RC-1 soon.
