New Casio G-Shock x Bamford GM-5600 metal bezel watch on the way to more countries

The Casio G-Shock x Bamford GM-5600BWD-1 watch has been confirmed for a wider release in Europe. This digital watch was widely launched in the UK on December 9th for £279, following an exclusive pop-up at a newsagents in London.

Casio has now listed the G-Shock GM-5600BWD-1 watch at its online store in various EU countries, such as the Netherlands and Germany. Here, it will retail for €279, and is expected to be released at some point in December. It will be exclusive to Casio ID members, who are invited to sign up to receive an email notification when it launches. You can sign up for a free Casio ID account on the brand’s website.

The GM-5600BWD-1 is the third collaboration watch between G-Shock and British brand Bamford Watch Department. It features a black and bright blue design, and measures 49.6 x 43.2 x 12.9 mm (~1.95 x 1.70 x 0.51 inches). Black elements include the ion-plated steel bezel, the resin casing and strap, and the dark background display. There are blue accents like lines around the screen, and the “5600” and “Bamford” written on the strap. 

Features of the GM-5600 include a countdown timer, hourly time signals and a multi-function alarm. Each supports flash alerts, and there is also a 1/100th second stopwatch with settings like elapsed time and split time. The digital model has a white LED backlight, making it readable in the dark, and users can choose between 12 and 24 hour time formats. This watch also offers 200 m water resistance and a five year battery life. It remains to be seen whether or when the Casio G-Shock x Bamford GM-5600BWD-1 watch could be released in the US.
