Casio releases new watches with metal mesh straps in Europe

Two Casio Vintage AQ-230EM watches are now available in Europe. This new version of the AQ-230, available in two colorways, features a finely woven metal strap, similar to the new A158-WEM watches. As such, the model is described as a “classic reimagined and modernized”.

At the Casio online store in countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany, you can now buy the Vintage AQ-230EM-2A and AQ-230EM-7A watches for €69.90 each. These watches will ship for free in seven to eight business days, or customers can pay for faster delivery. They are already available in other markets, like the US.

Casio’s Vintage AQ-230EM watches have a silver colored resin/chrome-plated casing, matching the textured mesh steel bracelet. The AQ-230EM-2A has a navy blue dial while the AQ-230EM-7A has a silver face, both featuring silver indexes, hour and minute hands. 

The Vintage AQ-230 is a hybrid watch that supports dual time zones. The first is indicated with the analog hands, and the second is shown on the slim digital display. The screen can also show the month, date and the day of the week. Other features of these watches include a 1/100th second stopwatch, a daily alarm and hourly time signals. Plus, the calendar is automatic, and these water resistant watches should run for around three years on an SR920W battery.
