Casio quietly launches new ultra-affordable W-221H digital watches in two colorways

Casio has quietly listed the new W-221H digital watch series in Japan, with a confirmed release window of February 2026. The lineup includes two models: the W-221H-1AJF in black and the W-221H-8AJF in a light beige finish. Both models are priced at ¥6,050 (~$39) including tax.
The W-221H is built around a compact square resin case measuring 43.7 × 38.4 × 12.2 mm and weighs 35 grams. It features a resin bezel and resin band, with a wrist size range of 145–215 mm. Water resistance is rated at 5 bar, making it a decent pick for daily use and light water exposure.
Casio lists a battery life of approximately 10 years. The watch uses a resin glass crystal and includes an amber LED backlight with selectable illumination duration of 1.5 or 3 seconds, along with an afterglow function.
Otherwise, the W-221H should cover your standard digital features. It supports world time for 48 cities across 29 time zones, with daylight saving adjustment. The stopwatch offers 1/100-second measurement, a 24-hour capacity, split timing, and auto-start. A countdown timer is included with 1-second precision and a maximum setting of 24 hours, along with auto-repeat and time-up alerts.
The watch also includes three daily alarms, one with a snooze function, hourly time signal, full auto-calendar, and a 12/24-hour display toggle. Accuracy is rated at ±30 seconds per month. An operation tone on/off toggle is available.
As of writing, it is unconfirmed whether the watch will be launched in other markets or not, but there's no information to indicate otherwise too.
