The EG series is one of Nextgear's most unusual gaming towers on the market, as the two large viewing windows can be switched to stealth mode at the touch of a button, concealing the internal components. Thanks to the frosted glass effect, the RGB lighting is still fully visible.

At first glance, Nextgear's latest gaming tower looks like a standard desktop PC, as large side windows on the front and left side are no longer a rarity – the Corsair Frame 4500X, for example, uses a similar window configuration.

The key feature of the Nextgear case is that the side windows can be switched to a "stealth mode" via a button on the top, giving it a frosted glass effect. In this mode, the internal components are no longer visible, but the RGB lighting shines through the glass, creating a stylish effect.

When the PC is turned off, the glass automatically switches to stealth mode. A second button on the top allows you to disable the LED lighting to give the gaming tower an even more discreet look. However, this case is currently only available as part of a complete PC with somewhat outdated hardware.

Price and availability

The Nextgear EG series is currently only available in Japan from Mouse Computer. The base model with an outdated Ryzen 5 4500, GeForce RTX 3050 and 16 GB of RAM costs 164,800 yen (approx. $1,065), while the top model with a Ryzen 7 7700, Radeon RX 9060 XT, and 16 GB of RAM is priced at 264,800 yen (approx. $1,711). The case is not currently sold separately, and details on international availability are still pending.
