A few days ago, Machenike released a cheaper version of its GTS mini-PC in China. Listed on its global website since late last year, the Core Ultra 5 225H variant should not fall too far behind its Core Ultra 9 285H-powered sibling in CPU-heavy tasks. However, the former's Arc 130T iGPU is no match for the Arc 140T inside the Core Ultra 9 285H.
For now, Machenike has commented on global availability for either variant. Instead, Minixpc has taken it upon itself to stock the Machenike GTS and its flip-up status display for those living outside China. Unfortunately, the retailer is only offering the Machenike GTS in its most expensive configuration currently to compete with other Intel Arrow Lake-H mini-PCs like the GMKtec EVO-T1 (curr. $1,469.99 on Amazon).
As a result, the mini-PC has arrived globally on the rather expensive side at $1,799. For that price, the Machenike GTS comes with a Core Ultra 9 285H processor, 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. Please note that a second M.2 2280 slot is on hand for adding more storage when needed. Also, the mini-PC's two SO-DIMM slots support up to 128 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. Please see Minixpc's website for more details.
