Towards the end of last year, Sixunited presented several devices powered by AMD's Strix Halo architecture. Arguably, one of the highlights was the AXA33, an iMac alternative with up to 128 GB of RAM and a 4K OLED display. Also, Sixunited unveiled the AXP77 to rival the Asus ROG Flow Z13 but potentially with the Ryzen AI Max+ 388 and Ryzen AI Max+ 392 too, rather than just the Ryzen AI Max+ 395.
At the same time, the company also introduced two mini-PCs backed by the same architecture. While those featured 2-litre and 4-litre cases, respectively, Sixunited claims to have gone even smaller with the Mini AI Workstation AXB88. As the graphic below shows, the AXB88 measures 160 x 160 x 47 mm regardless of the two finishes shown, which is much smaller than competing Strix Halo mini-PCs like the GMKtec EVO-X2 (curr. $1,699 on Amazon).
In other words, the AXB88 features a 1.2-litre case volume. Nonetheless, the mini-PC is said to deliver a 120 W TDP to its APU with a 230 W PSU too. Additionally, Sixunited has included dual USB4 ports and M.2 2280 slots that support up to PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs. As it stands, Sixunited hopes to begin mass production in March. There is no word on international availability yet, though.
