SolidRun has unveiled the Bedrock RAI300 mini PC, powered by a 12-core AMD Strix Point APU and Radeon 890M iGPU. With up to 128 GB of memory and multiple expansion pathways, the feature-rich fanless mini PC targets industrial and AI workloads.

A brand-new AMD Strix Point-powered mini PC has arrived, dubbed the Bedrock RAI300 from the house of SolidRun. This mini PC is aimed at industrial use, taking a modular approach for suiting various work environments.

The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU powering the Bedrock RAI300 mini PC sports 12 cores based on the Zen 5 architecture, along with the potent Radeon 890M iGPU. In synthetic benchmarks such as Cinebench, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 trades blows with the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H and Apple M3 Pro, making it a powerful choice for the vast majority of workloads. The iGPU is plenty powerful as well, and should easily be able to handle moderately intensive tasks.

Fanless mini PC with AMD Strix Point goodness

Boasting a completely fanless design, the RAI300 mini PC runs completely silent, and utilizes a massive heatsink and liquid metal to deal with thermals. As pointed out by LinuxGizmos, the Bedrock RAI300 features a pretty neat modular design, which allows customers to fine-tune the system depending on their needs.

To be specific, the primary compute module packs the CPU paired with up to 128 GB of DDR5-5600 memory via dual SO-DIMMs, and NVMe storage. A second module packs networking and I/O options, and other modules are available to add more storage, expansion, modems, and even AI accelerators, such as the Hailo-8 (26 TOPS) and Hailo-10 (40 TOPS) via M.2 slots. Of course, the Strix Point APU packs its own XDNA 2 NPU, with up to 50 TOPS.

The I/O on offer has been detailed below:

  • USB4, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Triple USB 3.2 Gen 1
  • Up to four HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 2.1
  • Up to four 2.5G Ethernet

Pricing and availability

As of this writing, it is unclear how SolidRun will price the Bedrock RAI300 mini PC. Considering its internals, the mini PC is unlikely to be cheap. Since the product is mainly targeted at industrial use, folks with typical consumer workloads may be better off with something like the GMKtec Evo-X1 mini PC, currently available for just under $900 on Amazon.
