The Asus ROG GR70 was showcased at CES 2026 and, according to a media report, is expected to hit international markets in February. Information on price or availability is still pending. In China, the model is available for the equivalent of around $2100, so the actual price is likely to be higher in both Europe and the US.
The Asus ROG GR70 is not entirely dissimilar to the manufacturer's NUC models, but its visual design is clearly aimed at gamers. For example, the ROG logo can be clearly seen in several places. Despite its compact dimensions of only 282.4 × 187.7 × 56.6 millimeters, Asus installs the powerful combination of an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D APU and a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070. Unsurprisingly, Asus uses the mobile version of the GPU. The graphics card can consume up to 100 watts and, together with Dynamic Boost, an additional 15 watts. The GDDR6 VRAM of 6 GB is rather small, however.
32 GB of DDR5 RAM is on board, with a maximum of 96 GB that can be installed in two slots. An M.2 SSD with a capacity of 1 TB is preinstalled. Up to five 4K monitors can be used simultaneously, which may be particularly useful for users geared towards productivity. WiFi 7 and Ethernet with up to 2.5 GBit/s are also available.
