ASRock has two new models in the pipeline, the ASRock NUC Ultra 300 and the NUCS Ultra 300. The latter measures 117.5 x 110 x 38 millimeters, making it slightly shorter than the NUC Ultra 300, which is 49 millimeters high. The two models also differ in their connectivity options. The NUC Ultra 300 features one Thunderbolt 4 port, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and two Ethernet ports with a maximum data transfer rate of 2.5 Gbps. The NUCS Ultra 300, on the other hand, has four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports but only one Ethernet port. It also offers HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1.
According to ASRock, both models support up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM at 7,200 MHz and the use of two M.2 SSDs. One SSD can be connected via four PCIe 5.0 lanes and the other via four PCIe 4.0 lanes, although the noticeable performance difference is likely to be minimal in most applications.
Complete spec sheets are not yet available. What is clear, however, is that the PCs will be available with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. ASRock advertises an AI performance of up to 180 TOPS. This figure does not represent the sole performance of the NPU, but rather the combined performance of the NPU, CPU and graphics unit. Information regarding price and availability is still pending.
