Asus has formally introduced the ExpertCenter PN55 at CES 2026, and it stands as a refreshed version of the PN54 from last year. This new mini PC is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 400 series, and the top-end option packs an unspecified AI 9 HX processor, which should also offer the capable Radeon 890M iGPU.
It's worth noting that the Ryzen AI 400 series processors aren't entirely new, as they are basically rebadged versions of the Strix Point APUs. That means there won't be a significant performance upgrade over the last-gen mini PC (barebone with AI 7 350 curr. $660.99 on Amazon).
Nonetheless, the company further highlights the XDNA 2 NPU of the mini PC, capable of offering up to 55 TOPs of AI performance. There's support for up to 96 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5,600 MHz. While the Asus ExpertCenter PN55 has a compact form factor, it has a decent number of ports, including:
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-C
- 2x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x USB4
- 2x 2.5G Ethernet
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
As for the design, it's not much different than the ExpertCenter PN54 from last year, making the PN54 smaller than the NUC 16 Pro powered by the Intel Panther Lake line. Other notable aspects of the mini PC from the short CES 2026 introduction include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and support for quad 4K displays. Asus hasn't revealed pricing and availability details yet, but these should emerge soon.
