When you think Asus, you probably think of ZenBook laptops, or their gaming brand Republic of Gamers (ROG). Laptops for the business sector are not what comes to mind first, but Asus definitely also makes them. Their name is Asus ExpertBooks, and at CES 2026, Asus just revealed their latest addition to the line: The new flagship model, the Asus ExpertBook Ultra B9406CAA.
With this new 14-inch premium business laptop, Asus wants to tackle the same market an HP EliteBook X or a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (available from Amazon) live in: Managers, CEOs and other users who want a work device that is not just reliable, but also gives them a premium experience. To address this market, Asus gives the ExpertBook the latest Intel CPUs of the Panther Lake series, up to the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H, up to 64 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD storage and 2.8K Tandem OLED touch-screens all around, which can deliver up to 1400 cd/m² of brightness. All of this is supported by a big 70 Wh battery, which is impressive when you know how much the ExpertBook weighs: Just 1.09 kg, making this a laptop you can effortlessly lug around.
Asus also does not skimp on other aspects of this premium enterprise device. In terms of ports, there are two USB-A ports, HDMI and two Thunderbolt 4. The chassis of this lightweight laptop is made out of Aluminum. There are six speakers, a haptic touchpad and the dual-fan cooling system can cool up to 50 W of sustained power consumption. The only feature we are really missing here is 5G, which is something the competition from Dell, HP and Lenovo has.
