The two latest mid-range smartphones from Realme give buyers the choice of whether the display, frame and back should be flat (Realme 16 Pro) or curved (Realme 16 Pro+). Both models are IP69 certified and thus waterproof. A particularly large 7,000 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C with up to 80 watts is installed in both models.
Both smartphones feature a 6.79-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak HDR brightness of 6,500 nits. The screen of the more affordable model reaches 1,400 nits across the entire surface, while the more expensive one manages 1,800 nits. The biggest differences lie in the processor and cameras: The Realme 16 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max, while the Realme 16 Pro+ has the faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
Both mid-range smartphones feature a 50 MP f/2.4 selfie camera, a 200 MP f/1.8 main camera, and an 8 MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera. However, the 50 MP f/2.8 telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom is only available on the Realme 16 Pro+. Realme guarantees three major Android updates and four years of security patches.
