The rise of cloud gaming is leading to more accessories that cater to this multi-device alternative. CES 2026 saw the debut of the Razer Wolverine V3 Bluetooth controller. To overcome the disadvantages of streaming, it minimizes latency while boasting TMR sensors for precise inputs.

Higher memory prices already impact the cost of PCs, with consoles also under threat. Cloud gaming may be an alternative since most services run on lower-powered machines. However, added latency is one reason why some gamers avoid streaming their favorite titles. The Razer Wolverine V3 Bluetooth aims to bring competitive gaming to apps on LG TVs and handhelds.

At CES 2026, the company advertized its latest creation as the “world’s first ultra-low latency Bluetooth controller.” Reviews will determine whether it lives up to that lofty claim, but the company promises an industry-leading 2ms response time.

Another pro-grade capability of the new Razer controller is its TMR thumbsticks. The peripheral borrows the upgrade from the recently released Wolverine V3 Pro 8K. While stick drift-resistant Hall effect technology offers enhanced durability, TMR sensors are even more precise. In addition, their lower power draw benefits wireless devices.

The Wolverine V3 Bluetooth sticks to the basics

Cloud gaming enthusiasts will find two rear-mounted back buttons inspired by gaming mice. The fast, decisive clicks should yield snappy and decisive inputs. Otherwise, the accessory has a fairly standard Xbox-style layout. Still, to cater to living room gameplay, there are controls for mics and TV volume.

Razer designed the controller with the LG Gaming Portal in mind. The hub unlocks access to popular apps like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now. Even so, the device will connect to multiple Bluetooth targets, with the ROG Xbox Ally X as one possibility.

Even the controllers that ship with Xbox and PlayStation consoles offer Bluetooth connectivity. Of note, Sony recently added multi-source pairing to its DualSense. Razer will count on advantages like TMR analog sticks to court these gamers. The latest Wolverine V3 also strives to maintain the same feature set, regardless of how it's connected.
