Scuf has jumped into the Hall effect race with its Valor Pro controller for Xbox and PC. It is a wired controller but brings a few features that will surely improve the gaming experience on the Xbox Series consoles.

Scuf Valor Pro is the latest controller for Xbox and PC users bringing Hall effect technology and dedicated audio controls. Among the other Scuf controllers for Xbox, it is a relatively cheaper offering but is still not a budget controller as there are a few cheaper options currently available from brands such as GameSir. Coming in at $100, the Scuf Valor Pro mostly retains the shape of the standard Xbox Series controller, but with a few extra features and a variety of colorways to choose from.

It is, unfortunately, a wired controller and uses a USB Type-C connection with a 10-foot cable. The Scuf Valor Pro features Hall effect joysticks to prevent stick drift issues and provide better accuracy compared to the standard potentiometer-based joysticks. It also has dedicated audio controls for game and chat volume. There are two dials, one of which allows users to mute the mic or change the chat/game volume mix. The other is used to adjust headset volume and mute audio.

Some of the other features of the Scuf Valor Pro include adjustable triggers, customizable rear paddles, and a profile switch that lets users save on-board profiles for up to three games. Interestingly, the controller is capable of 1000Hz polling rate but only on PC and this feature is coming soon, as stated on the official website

There are 15 different colorways to choose from and those who prefer translucent face plates can go with the Smoke variant.

Prior to the Valor Pro, Scuf had two other officially licensed Xbox controllers: Instinct and Instinct Pro. They are priced at $170 and $230, but they do offer wireless connectivity, though they lack Hall effect joysticks.
