Razer's Viper V3 wireless gaming mouse ticks a lot of boxes for those looking for a high-performance gaming wireless gaming mouse. It features a high-resolution sensor, a lightweight shell, low-friction feet, and high performance internals for low latency.
Today, Razer unveiled the latest iteration of the Viper V3 Pro — the Faker Edition. The special edition wireless mouse packs all the same performance, customisability, and specs as the stock Razer Viper V3 Pro, but in a flashy new red colour scheme featuring a design made in collaboration with Faker.
The most obvious change compared to the original design is the switch from the typical green and black or white colour scheme to a bold red, but the back of the Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition also features what appears to be a Oni illustration, while Faker's signature features prominently on the right click button.
The internals of the Faker Edition are identical to the regular Viper V3 Pro, with Razer's Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2 and Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 packed into the 54 g shell. In case you were unacquainted, this means the Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition has an 8 kHz polling rate — even in Hyperspeed Wireless mode — a maximum sensitivity of 35,000 DPI, a tracking speed of 750 IPS, and a maximum acceleration of 70 g.
The Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition also brings over the customisable side buttons, giving it a total of six buttons, all of which are customisable in Razer Synapse. Any custom configurations are fortunately saved to the Viper V3 Pro's internal memory, so Synapse can be deleted after customisation.
Being a wireless mouse, battery life is important, and Razer claims that the Viper V3 Pro should last anywhere from 17 hours at 8,000 Hz polling rate to 95 hours at 1,000 Hz polling rate. The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition is available on Amazon or from Razer's online store at $179.99, which is a $20 premium over the standard V3 Pro. The first 500 Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition buyers will also receive a matching mouse mat with an extended version of the Oni design that adorns the back of the V3 Pro Faker Edition mouse.
