Earlier today, MSI introduced several devices as part of its CES 2026 showcase. Additionally, the company has quietly teased refreshed versions of its popular Claw 8 AI+ gaming handheld. For context, the Claw 8 AI+ debuted simultaneously alongside the smaller Claw 7 AI+ (curr. $959.99 on Amazon).
As it stands, the pair remain two of only a few Intel Lunar Lake-powered gaming handhelds alongside the OneXPlayer X1 Air. Apparently, Panther Lake-based successors are a while off from being released, too. In the meantime, MSI has decided to update the Claw 8 AI+ again with a Glacier Blue Edition. Pictured above, the Glacier Blue Edition appears to be just a visual refresh like the Polar Tempest Edition before it.
However, MSI distinguished the Polar Tempest Edition from the original Sandstorm variant by swapping in a 2 TB SSD. This time, MSI mentions the inclusion of an M.2 2280 SSD, rather than the M.2 2230 equivalent used inside other Claw 8 AI+ models. While the Glacier Blue Edition is coming to market, MSI also has the Polar Void Edition on show at CES 2026. Unfortunately, this variant is not set to receive a full release as it stands.
