The Gamemt E3 Vigor is a budget retro handheld now available for pre-order from $45, offering a 3.95-inch 1:1 720p IPS display aimed at classic systems like NES, SNES, Game Boy, and PSP. Powered by an aging octa-core Cortex A7 chipset with modest specs but a sizable 5,000 mAh battery, it positions itself as an affordable everyday carry for nostalgic gamers. However, real-world performance remains unproven ahead of initial shipments.

Retro gamers looking for a gaming handheld in the sub-$100 category have something new to be excited about. Pre-orders for the Gamemt E3 Vigor just opened up recently on the Royibeila website.

The Gamemt E3 vigor was initially teased back in October 2025 and is now finally available for pre-order, starting at $45 for the 64GB model or $55 for the 128GB version with checkout code ROYIBEILA02. The Gamemt E3 Vigor is available in Purple/White and Classic Black.

The E3 Vigor packs a small 3.95-inch IPS display at a 1:1 aspect ratio with a resolution of 720 x 720p. It’s meant to emulate classic games like the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Sega Genesis, PSP, and even Pico-8 games without black bars.

From a design standpoint, it draws inspiration from the Anbernic RG CubeXX and ZPG A1 Unicorn, but sets itself apart with a flatter back for improved grip. However, what’s powering the Gamemt E3 Vigor? It’s using an eight-core ARM Cortex A7 processor, likely from MediaTek. It’s pretty old, but it's still a capable 2013 chip that’s making a comeback in entry-level retro handhelds.

The ARM processor is complemented by a quad-core Mali-450 GPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB eMMC storage, running the custom Gamemt OS.

While it’s a light-weight contender in the retro handheld space, the rest of the spec sheet keeps things practical. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery for extended play sessions, Wi-Fi, and 2.4 GHz for future updates.

Essentials include a USB-C charging port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD card slot. To commemorate the pre-order launch, Royibeila uploaded a short hands-on video of the Gamemt E3 Vigor, demoing the retro handheld and giving a closer look at its PSP-themed navigation UI.

However, the video ended before showing any actual gameplay footage, leaving reviewers and customers to answer performance questions when the gaming handheld arrives at their doorsteps.

Still, the shipping date isn’t far off. The Gamemt E3 Vigor is expected to deliver within 10-15 days, or even earlier if production proceeds smoothly. If you’re looking to play classic pixelated games on a 1:1 screen without expecting outstanding emulation performance, then the Gamemt E3 Vigor makes perfect sense as a wallet-friendly retro everyday carry.

Users wanting to pick up a handhead available today, however, the R36Max is also available on Amazon with a $30 discount code in tow, bringing it down to an effective $69.99 instead, but one does have to contend with a weaker quad-core CPU versus the octacore on offer by Gamemt at a lower price point.
