Sony is set to officially reveal PS Plus free games for January 2026 later today, December the 31st. However, it looks like one game from the lineup may have already leaked ahead of the announcement.
The leak comes from Bilbill-Kun, a well-known leaker from Dealabs. He has a strong track record and has accurately leaked PS Plus games several times in the past. And according to his latest claim, Need for Speed Unbound will be one of the free PS Plus games for January 2026.
Need for Speed Unbound was released back in 2022. It is the most recent mainline entry in EA’s long-running racing franchise. However, for those who don’t know, the game was previously a part of the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog. Because of this, many players have already tried it or even finished it, so bringing it back as a PS Plus free game may not feel exciting for those users. On top of that, the NFS Unbound Ultimate Edition is also currently discounted by 85% on the PlayStation Store, thanks to which it's available for just $12.74.
That said, not everyone will see this as bad news. Players who skipped the game earlier or never had access to Extra or Premium might still enjoy getting it for free. As of now, only one game has been leaked, but Sony will reveal the full list later today.
