Razer has announced Project Ava, a holographic AI companion for Microsoft Windows computer users. The device contains a speaker, far-field microphones, an HD camera, and LED lights.
Project Ava projects a 3D avatar on a 5.5-inch holographic display that owners can speak to and interact with. A variety of avatars will be released with the device, each with a different personality. Each avatar are animated with facial expressions and eye tracking.
The avatars are initially designed to be powered by xAI's Grok AI, but the selection of AI can be expanded in the future. Project Ava is designed to be a constant companion, available around the clock for interaction during gaming, work, and life.
The holographic companion can celebrate gaming successes, answer in-game questions, and provide strategies for success. When not gaming, the companion can help track daily to-dos, provide reminders, and help cultivate healthier habits. For work, it can assist with project development, data analysis, and live translations.
Razer Project Ava can be reserved for a $20 deposit for purchase in the second half of 2026. Final pricing has not been revealed.
