The new Razer Raiju V3 Pro does offer two features found on Sony’s official DualSense controller despite its significantly higher price, namely a vibration motor and Sony's adaptive triggers. Razer instead focuses on features that benefit the gaming performance of e-sports enthusiasts.
In order to do so, the Raiju V3 Pro uses symmetrically arranged TMR analog sticks, which reportedly respond more precisely than Sony's analog sticks and shouldn’t suffer from stick drift. Users can switch the Razer HyperTriggers between analog and digital via a slider on the back. This allows for a much shorter trigger pull for faster aiming and firing in action-packed games like shooters. The rear paddles and bumper grip can be removed if needed.
The buttons utilize switches that are typically found in gaming mice and are intended to provide more precise click feedback. The Razer Raiju V3 Pro is compatible with the Sony PlayStation 5 and Windows PCs. Connections are established via USB-C cable or the included wireless USB dongle. Furthermore, Razer offers an app for smartphones and PCs that allows users to customize many buttons as well as the sensitivity of the sticks.
Price and availability
The Razer Raiju V3 Pro PlayStation controller is available now for €209 at European shops such as Amazon Germany and Razer’s official online store. It's not listed at any major US retailers just yet. The gamepad comes in either white or black. A carrying case, detachable 6.6ft USB-C cable and a USB dongle are included in the box.
