The Razer Kraken Kitty series of headphones has always stood out with its decorative cat ears, and the two new V3 models are no exception. The Kraken Kitty V3 X are wired over-ear headphones with a boom microphone and dynamic 40mm Razer TriForce drivers.
Thanks to their plastic construction, the headphones are relatively light and weigh just 9.5 oz or 270 grams. On Windows computers, the Kraken Kitty V3 X support 7.1 surround sound. With an official list price of $179, the Pro model costs almost three times as much but comes with four significant upgrades. First, the 40mm titanium drivers should produce better sound. Secondly, the earcups are made of synthetic leather instead of fabric, which could make the headset more comfortable to wear.
Furthermore, the Razer Kraken Kitty V3 Pro features eye-catching RGB lighting, which can be controlled via Razer Chroma and synchronized with other Razer accessories. Last but not least, the Pro model is wireless and established connections via Bluetooth or the included USB receiver. Razer advertises a battery life of up to 30 hours with RGB lighting on or 70 hours without. However, the battery also adds some weight and as the Razer headset weighs 390 grams or 13.7 oz.
