Neurable's latest offering, the MW75 Neuro LT, is reportedly 12% lighter and slightly more affordable than the MW75 Neuro. These headphones inherit the most unusual feature directly from the top model: the integrated EEG. Using electroencephalography, the headphones are designed to monitor the user's brain activity.
This allows the associated smartphone app to display, among other things, how much brain strain the user is experiencing, how refreshed the brain is in the morning, and when it's a good time for lighter tasks or for intensive mental work. "Brain Age" is designed to show how activities and habits affect cognitive aging. The 12-channel EEG is said to help users achieve an average of 33% more "focus time".
Beyond the EEG, the MW75 Neuro LT offers solid features, including active noise cancellation (ANC), and the sound of the 40-millimeter beryllium drivers has been optimized by headphone specialists Master & Dynamic. Connection to the smartphone is possible via USB-C, AUX or Bluetooth 5.2, with the headphones supporting aptX Adaptive in addition to SBC and AAC. However, the EEG consumes a lot of power – the battery life drops to 10 to 13 hours with focus tracking enabled. Without it, the headphones still manage 22 hours.
