The new Apple Powerbeats Fit echoes the design of the Beats Fit Pro. Apple continues to utilize "wingtips" to ensure a particularly secure fit in the ear, even during training. IPX4 certification promises protection against sweat and rain.
While the Powerbeats Fit generally outperform competing earbuds in terms of comfort and secure fit, Apple also touts "incredibly balanced sound" and particularly effective active noise cancellation (ANC) with Transparency Mode. The latter is said to be particularly useful when running through the city, where auditory awareness of one's surroundings is important in regard to cars and other potential hazards.
An adaptive equalizer uses a total of five microphones to adjust the sound of the completely wireless earbuds to the fit, ensuring the best possible sound at all times. Moreover, the Powerbeats Fit support 3D audio with head tracking. Music playback can be automatically paused when an earbud is removed from the ear. The battery life is advertised as seven hours, or up to 30 hours when used with the charging case. The function of the touch-sensitive button on the outside can be customized via the Beats app.
