LG has announced the Xboom Buds Lite and Buds Plus true wireless earbuds, continuing a collaboration with musician will.i.am that began with the launch of the Xboom Buds in April 2025 (sold here on Amazon). All Xboom earbuds incorporate audio tuning by the artist for a vibrant yet balanced sound, according to the company. They support Bluetooth 5.4 multi-device pairing.
The Xboom Buds Plus features graphene-coated drivers with triple MEMS microphones, which actively reduce background noise during calls and music playback. The adaptive EQ dynamically adjusts the sound tuning for the best sound reproduction, and users can further adjust the EQ using the smartphone app to their liking. The best fitting ear tip for noise reduction can be found using the Noise Cancelling Optimization feature in the app. They offer up to 10 hours of runtime between charges, with up to 30 hours of total runtime with the charging case, according to LG.
The case for the Buds Plus uses LG UVnano2 technology to sanitize the earbuds with ultraviolet light, according to the company. It can also act as a Bluetooth audio transmitter when connected by wire to non-wireless audio sources, with Auracast support to allow multiple Bluetooth devices to receive the transmitted audio at once. The case can be wirelessly recharged.
The Xboom Buds Lite also features graphene-coated drivers. The earbuds feature milder active noise cancellation due to their lower price point. The smartphone app allows users to pick between four customizable EQ modes. They offer up to 11.5 hours of runtime between charges, with up to 35 hours of total runtime with the charging case, according to LG.
The new models are scheduled to become available in September 2025. Further specifications and pricing have not yet been released.
