LG has collaborated with renowned singer and songwriter will.i.am to tune the sound signature of its latest true wireless stereo earbuds, the LG Xboom Buds, to be vibrant and immersive, yet balanced. The LG Xboom Buds have an MSRP of $109.99 and are available at the LG store on Amazon.
Each earbud uses 10 mm graphene-coated drivers with triple MEMS microphones. The adaptive EQ dynamically adjusts the sound tuning for the best sound reproduction, and users can further adjust the EQ using the smartphone app to their liking. The beamforming microphones actively reduce background noise during calls and music playback.
Music is streamed over multipoint Bluetooth connections using the SBC, AAC, and LC3 audio codecs. The Xboom supports simultaneous Auracast streaming to multiple wearers for shared enjoyment of music and movies.
The Xboom Buds run up to 7.5 hours with ANC on, and the charging case provides a total of 24 hours of runtime. A quick charge of five minutes provides one hour of runtime, and the earbuds fully charge in an hour. The Buds are IP4-rated against water splashes.
The earbuds measure 0.99 x 0.82 x 0.94 in. (25.1 × 20.8 × 23.9 mm) and weigh 0.19 oz. (5.4 g) each. The case measures 2.48 x 1.29 x 1.23 in. (63.0 × 32.8 × 31.2 mm) and weighs 1.27 oz. (36.0 g).
