LG's wireless earbuds lineup just got a new addition, the Tone Free T80. The buds aim to offer an improved audio experience with a reinforced graphene driver. LG says that the audio output is well balanced, with enhanced mid and high-frequencies and vibrant bass (bass-heavy Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 curr. $149.95 on Amazon).
To further enhance the audio experience, the LG Tone Free T80 wireless earbuds bring Dolby Atmos with Dolby Head Tracking. This, according to the company, makes the Bluetooth buds capable of putting you in the center of the scene. There's adaptive ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) too. It can detect the noise levels around you and adjust the intensity accordingly.
The calling performance of the Tone Free T80 also seems promising. These buds have a 4-microphone system that optimizes the sound modes and allows you to take calls even on busy streets. Another interesting aspect is the Whisper Mode, which lets you take calls discretely by speaking softly into the microphone of the right bud. This could come in handy when you're in a quiet waiting room.
As for the build, the new LG Bluetooth earbuds come with an IPX4 rating. So, light rain shouldn't be an issue. Also, thanks to the medical-grade ear gels, you can expect to get a comfortable fit.
Battery-wise, the Tone Free T80 wireless earbuds can offer a total of 36 hours of runtime when combined with the charging case. Other highlights include Bluetooth 5.4, wear detection, Dolby Virtualizer & Optimizer support, and a dedicated app and widget that brings many convenient features. LG has launched the buds at $199.99 and is currently offering the XBOOM Go XG5QGR portable speaker for free with every order.
