There is no doubt that gaming on an OLED is a superior experience than most other panel types. Not only are the colors more vibrant but the response times are much lower. The problem, however, is that level of performance comes at a cost. Fortunately, this curved ultrawide LG Ultragear OLED gaming monitor is almost half price on Amazon.
LG Ultragear OLED 34GS95QE features and specifications
With a 34-inch display that has an 800R curvature, the LG Ultragear OLED 34GS95QE looks to fill a lot more of your peripheral vision. It is a 21:9 display with a 3440 x 1440 resolution, 240 Hz refresh rate, and 0.03 ms (GtG) response time. The 10-bit panel has a 1500000:1 contrast ratio and 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The brightness, however, is not the best at just 275 nits. It does support DisplayHDR 400 True Black and according to RTINGS, the HDR performance is "alright" in ‘Gamer 1’ and ‘Gamer 2’ modes.
The LG Ultragear OLED 34GS95QE comes with FreeSync Premium Pro and is also G-Sync compatible. This VRR support enables minimal screen tearing. RTINGS also notes that the monitor has “exceptionally fast response time, so there's almost no blur behind fast-moving objects, and it has low input lag.” However, there is also some VRR flicker in dark scenes.
As for connectivity, there is one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 ports, an audio jack, and USB upstream and downstream ports. The included stand is quite large but sturdy and allows for swivel, tilt, and height adjustment. The monitor supports 100x100 VESA mounting as well.
