Grand Seiko has finally launched a new premium SLGW007 dress watch, a direct successor to last year’s SLGW002 and SLGW003 dress watches. This time around, Grand Seiko ditched its brilliant hard titanium case build found on its predecessor; instead, the new watch now features a stainless case, which measures the same 38.6 mm in diameter and 9.95 mm in height as its titanium predecessor.
Like the Seiko SBGW323 watch with a textured Mt. Iwate dial, the SLGW007 also features a textured navy-colored dial. According to Grand Seiko, the color of the dial is meant to evoke the bark of a white birch bathed in moonlight. The dial of the watch is pretty simple, adorned with hour, minute, and second hands and hour markers. There’s also a brand’s logo positioned at 12 o’clock.
The SLGW007 is Grand Seiko’s first watch that features Caliber 9SA4, which is a high-frequency movement (10 vibrations per second) with a power reserve of 80 hours. The 10-beat manual-winding mechanical watch’s case is paired with the same textured navy-colored leather strap with a three-fold clasp and push-button release.
Alongside the SLGW007, the company has also announced its latest version of the Tentagraph, the SLGC006. Grand Seiko’s new high-frequency mechanical chronograph features a Mt. Iwate patterned dial finished in a copper-pink colorway. Speaking of the powered things, the timepiece is powered by a 9SC5 Hi-Beat 36000 chronograph caliber, which offers 72 hours of power reserve. The watch comes with a high-intensity titanium case and bracelet complemented by an 18K rose gold bezel, crown, and chronograph pushers.
As for price, the Grand Seiko SLGW007 costs $10,000, while the SLGC006 has a retail price of $22,600. It’s worth noting that the new Tentagraph is a limited edition of 100 pieces. Both watches will be available in October 2025 via Grand Seiko’s official website.
